Since the Fall of 2023, I have led the development of the Applied Microeconomics Reading Group in the UF Economics Department. The group meets Tuesdays in the Matherly Hall 251.
While labeled a "Reading Group" due to its origins as a more traditional one, the group regularly meets as an internal seminar in which graduate students, and sometimes faculty, present new and ongoing work. The setting provides a unique opportunity for early researchers to present and receive feedback on their research, while also exposing beginning students to doctoral-level research.Â
Any UF student interested in presenting can reach out to me for a future slot. We have welcomed external presentations from doctoral students in the departments of Finance, Accounting, Computer Engineering, and Food and Resource Economics, as well as students affiliated with the Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute and UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.
